Light painting photography uses the core element of photography – light itself - in an exciting new medium combining light, motion and long-exposure camera settings. While the camera’s shutter stays open, a single point of light in motion within the scene being photographed creates a dynamic continuous bright illuminated streak within the final image. Combining light painting with digital technology takes the process and the final images to the next level, with dozens of points of light, each with colour and brightness individually controllable, allowing participants to weave bright and complex images across the completed image.
In this workshop the artist Robin Price will guide participants through the rudiments of long exposure photography, how to build a light painter, prepare images for painting within and creating their own light paintings.
