WE’RE HIRING: PROJECT LEAD
We’re seeking a confident, proactive and highly organised individual to work alongside the Belfast Photo Festival Director, helping shape and deliver ambitious projects from initial idea to completion.
You will coordinate artists, partners, venues, exhibitions and commissions, while supporting our work with schools, communities and local organisations. You will also manage key elements of our international Open Submission, including partnerships, judges, workflows and image logistics.
Working closely with our Design & Digital Lead, you will help document and communicate our projects through photography, interviews and behind-the-scenes content.
This is a hands-on role offering genuine responsibility, creative collaboration and the opportunity to influence the future of Belfast Photo Festival. You will join a small, supportive and inclusive team based primarily in our Ormeau Avenue studio, with occasional flexible and hybrid working.
Location: Company Office (Belfast) and Flexible Working by Arrangement.
Salary Band: £32 - £35 pro rata
Type: Part Time (4 days, 32 hours per week).

RESPONSIBILITIES
Support the Belfast Photo Festival Director in developing and delivering projects from concept to completion.
Coordinate artists, partners, venues, schools, community organisations and other stakeholders.
Manage project briefs, contracts, schedules, communications and exhibition logistics.
Support the delivery of exhibitions, commissions, events and community engagement activity.
Develop partnerships that extend the festival’s reach and long-term impact.
Manage the Open Submission workflow, including partners, judges, entries and image logistics.
Work with the Design & Digital Lead to document projects, exhibitions and installations.
Help produce photography, interviews and behind-the-scenes content.
Maintain clear project records and collaborate effectively through Google Workspace and Drive.
Contribute to team planning, workload management and the wider development of Belfast Photo Festival.
Represent the festival professionally across diverse communities, sectors and audiences.
Work flexibly, including occasional hybrid hours and activity outside the Ormeau Avenue studio.
