Rooted in the landscape and light of the west of Ireland, ‘The Push and Pull’ examines motherhood as a lived experience shaped by care, time and connection. Through a series of intimate photographic and tactile works, Katie Moore reflects on the daily rhythms of raising children and the moments of closeness and attention they bring.

Drawing on the relationship between nature, body and memory, the work considers motherhood as a condition of change, care and heightened awareness. Personal in origin but widely recognisable, it invites viewers to reflect on what it means to nurture, to carry, and to be shaped in return.
