This beginner-friendly workshop introduces participants to the cyanotype process. Led by artist and printmaker Josephine McCormick, it covers each stage of the technique through demonstration, hands-on practice and guided support.
Cyanotype is an early photographic process known for its distinctive blue prints. During the workshop, participants will experiment with botanicals, stencils, flat objects and high-contrast black-and-white photographs to create their own prints. All materials are provided, though participants are welcome to bring botanicals, lace, flat jewellery or other objects to personalise the work. Two black-and-white photographic images should also be sent in advance.
By the end of the day, participants will leave with a collection of cyanotype prints.
