Abandoned NI is an Irish photographic project exploring the beauty, history and quiet resilience of abandoned and overlooked spaces. With a focus on architectural detail, atmosphere and the stories embedded within forgotten places, the work captures Belfast’s changing landscape through a distinctive and thoughtful lens.

As part of this year’s Belfast Photo Festival, Abandoned NI will lead a guided historical photographic tour through Belfast. The tour invites participants to explore hidden corners of the city, uncover layers of local history and develop their own photographic perspective while documenting the urban environment.

Blending visual storytelling with built heritage, this is an opportunity to see Belfast differently through light, structure and what remains.

The tour is outdoors and lasts approximately one hour. Comfortable shoes are advised. Participants are encouraged to bring their own camera or mobile phone. Photography equipment is not provided.

Tour Start:
Bank of Ireland buildings, Royal Avenue

Tour End:
Assembly Rooms, Waring Street

Tickets: £12 per person + booking fee
