This June, Belfast Photo Festival presents ‘Metamorfoza’ in collaboration with Polish artists Diana Lelonek, Anna Zagrodzka, Karol Szymkowiak, and Dyba and Adam Lach, alongside Fotofestiwal Łódź. The series of exhibitions, events and screenings explores shifting landscapes in Polish ecology and society. Supported by the Adam Mickiewicz Institute, the installations will appear in key locations across Belfast city centre, inviting reflection on how we interact with a changing environment.

Queen’s Film Theatre will host a screening of ‘Sowing the Seeds of the Wild’ by Dyba and Adam Lach, followed by a Director’s Q&A and a drinks reception to celebrate the official launch of ‘Metamorfoza’.

‘Sowing the Seeds of the Wild’ invites questions about the freedom of rivers and people, the relationship between humans and nature, ecosystem entanglements and the presence of wildness within us all.

W czerwcu Belfast Photo Festival zaprezentuje „Metamorfozę” – projekt realizowany we współpracy z polskimi artystami: Dianą Lelonek, Anną Zagrodzką, Karolem Szymkowiakiem oraz Dybą i Adamem Lachami, a także z Fotofestiwalem Łódź. Seria wystaw, wydarzeń i pokazów filmowych poruszy tematykę zmieniających się krajobrazów polskiej ekologii i społeczeństwa. Wspierane przez Instytut Adama Mickiewicza instalacje pojawią się w kluczowych lokalizacjach w centrum Belfastu, zachęcając do refleksji nad tym, jak funkcjonujemy w obliczu zmieniającego się środowiska.

23 czerwca w Queen’s Film Theatre odbędzie się pokaz filmu „Sowing the Seeds of the Wild” autorstwa Dyby i Adama Lachów, po którym nastąpi spotkanie z reżyserami oraz oficjalna inauguracja wystawy „Metamorfoza”.

„Sowing the Seeds of the Wild” stawia pytania o wolność rzek i ludzi, relacje między człowiekiem a naturą, splątane zależności w ekosystemach oraz o obecność dzikości w każdym z nas.
